Bristol City Junior Supporters Club were formed in 1999 and were originally known as Luckwell F.C.
Around seven boys attended the first training session which was held at Gore's Marsh (Ashton) with the team playing on what was to become their home ground at Ashton Park Secondary School. In 2003 it was decided amongst the members' to change the name of the club to Bristol City J.S.C with special permission having to be obtained from Bristol City Football Club. Although we were given the go ahead to change our name it was on the understanding that we were a self funding club and received no financial help whatsoever from Bristol City FC.
In 2005 the club moved grounds to Clifton College Abbotts Leigh Sports Ground, where their excellent facilities make it one of the best in the area and in 2006, the club was one of the first to be awarded the F.A charter standard. The club now holds one of the biggest tournaments in Bristol (one of the only 11-a-side tournaments) with teams entering from all over England.
Bristol City J.S.C has teams ranging from U6's to U16's level and in addition to the successes on the field, have had numerous players' go on to represent Gloucester F.A. The continuing future success of the club depends on the commitment of the committee, team managers, players and parents.
